Eddie AI: motion graphics travel to your editor, plus your own LUTs

Eddie AI's update for the week of 1 Nov 2026. An edit downloaded as a Premiere, Final Cut or Resolve project now brings its motion graphics with it, each as a transparent ProRes 4444 clip on its own track at its place in the cut. You can also load your own .cube LUT, trim a cut point one frame at a time with the arrow keys, and have Eddie's comments arrive as markers that span their stretch of the timeline.

What changed

Until now graphics made in Eddie stayed in Eddie's own player and MP4. They now ride along in Premiere XML, .prproj, FCPXML, Resolve .drp and OTIO exports, saved next to the project file. They open offline the first time and relink by file name. EDL and AAF exports leave them out. A .cube LUT can go on one source or all of them at a chosen strength, and Eddie can grade a single clip on its own while the rest keep their look.

Who it's for

Editors who use Eddie for a rough cut and finish in Premiere, Final Cut or Resolve. Each export has a credit cost, which the export dialog shows before you start. Eddie's help page adds that comment markers reach Resolve through an OTIO export, not the .drp.

What it means for a cut

The LUT only shapes Eddie's player and MP4. Project files sent to your editor leave it off, so grading still starts from the source footage. The practical gain is fewer rebuilt titles and lower thirds after the hand-off, and markers that show where Eddie thinks each topic or answer starts and ends.
