AI Field Notes
Method — the call sheet

How we add finds.

Four steps, two files, no backend. Published by Nigel Camp / Vinny B. A markdown note for the archive, one JSON entry for the site — links only, never republished media. Filed finds appear in the Directory.

  1. SC. 01
    Write the note
    Add entries/YYYY-MM-DD-slug.md with frontmatter.
  2. SC. 02
    Append the entry
    Same fields, added to docs/directory.json.
  3. SC. 03
    Print the pages
Run node build.js to generate each find’s permalink.
  4. SC. 04
    Never commit media
Thumbnails are URLs. Files stay with the maker.

The site reads JSON only. Markdown is for the archive and its editors.

Suggest a find, ask for a correction, or request a takedown via GitHub issues. We aim to act within 7 days.

Trust rule: credit the maker, keep assets where they posted them, and leave community events to their own organisers. No resellers, no awesome-lists, no mirrored files; no paid placements or affiliate links. Weekly layers: append a post to news.json, or bump a door in models.json (official links only). Mirror the same object into data.js so a disk open still works. Do not shard support.js or field-hero.js.
